POTTERY MODELOF AN EQUESTRIAN ON HORSEBACK FIGURE FROM THE HAN (206 BC) - TANG (907 AD) DYNASTY. A RARE GROUP, MOLDED AS TWO SEPARATE DETACHABLE PIECES. INCISED TEXTURED DETAILS TO THE COAT OF THE HORSE WITH A BUFF PAINTED SURFACE. A THERMAL LUMINESENCE TEST HAS NOT BEEN DONE ON THIS ITEM. Horse: Mint condition with some surface dirt and dust. Rider: Missing pieces to left foot where previous restoration had been. Missing a piece from front and right side of the rider's saddle. Height: 16 in. by Width: 14 in. by Depth: 7 in.
