Petroleum Club Auction

The contents of the Petroleum Club that will not be moved to the new space will be auctioned as featured on PR.com.

The auction will aim to sell much of the contents of the club, which has been in its current location for more than 50 years. Some of the items include a 21-foot tall tapestry created by Houston artist David Adickes, most of the club's furnishings and the club’s wood paneling.

The tapestry, by David Adickes, will be one of the auction items. The eight-piece tapestry created to represent a geological cross-section of Texas has hung in the main ballroom of the Petroleum Club of Houston since it opened on the 43rd floor of the Exxon Mobil building in 1963.
